Well it’s been quite a week for the two of us and looks like getting mores hectic. Over the weekend Hazel and myself were both feeling pretty lousy and run down.

Hazel seemed to be running even more of a temperature than normal, had a sore throat and infected gum, was even more fatigued and was starting to have panic attack like symptoms.

To top that all off I had developed pains in my ribs, at first I had sat funny on my journey to Cambridge, but it got worse and worse, and when “Have I got news for you” had me in agony I felt there was something else wrong. Nevertheless, true to my stubborn “pig for a head” streak I persevered through the weekend, even marking 150 internal exams. I went to the doctor yesterday, he looked at my ribs and chest quickly, and told me I had “displaced the muscles on either side of my sternum between my ribs”, basically my rib muscles have popped out of place in a few different places and I need the help of an osteopath to put them back in.

So tomorrow I am back to the docs to see the Osteopath that works there, and then on Friday I have my appointment with the chest specialist at the Royal Brompton Hospital. Added to this Hazel has her appointment for her EEG tomorrow morning and will be taken to see the Dentist on Thursday. Between us we are seeing 5 different medical professionals in 5 days! Who says we don’t keep the NHS in business!

Will keep you posted on how things turn out, but please keep us in your thoughts and prayers for the EEG and the Chest Specialist.
